How do i play badminton in the olympics?

i played badminton for over 10yrs now. I’ve played badminton in my high school and excelled into varsity level. I played for UC Irvine as well for their teams. But how do i get join the olympics for cometition? I’m currently 23 right now and does anyone know how can i join and compete in the next olympic games for badminton? I think I’m good enough to play but i dont know how to join and compete in it

    Sorry, but probably you are not good enough. “Talent scouts” look for exceptionally good players. If you were anywhere near good enough they would have heard about you already and visited UC Irvine to check you out. It’s a case of “Don’t call us, we’ll call you.”

    If you really are good enough, you need to be competing at national championship level, eg US National Championships, or at least National Collegiate Championships. Become a Champion, then you might be considered for the national Olympic team.

    Gaining selection for the US team is a huge honour, but I think that if you were eligible for selection to perhaps for Malaysia or Denmark, it is then these two countries that have basically excelled in Badminton on a regular basis.

    Playing for Malaysia or Denmark would almost gaurantee you a spot in the US if you chose to represent the US after a qualifying period.
